One bishopsgate plaza

Have you ever seen a five-star luxury hotel and wished you could call it home? That's the line Jamie Gurvitz opens this film with, and it's also exactly what One Bishopsgate Plaza offers, a 43-storey tower in the City of London where the Pan Pacific Hotel occupies the lower floors and the Sky Residences sit above from floor 21 to 41. When Jamie brought us this project, the brief carried real weight. He wanted to set a new standard for real estate presentation in the UK and build his own name, Mr New Homes, inside Savills. A standard walkthrough wasn't going to do that. So the whole film was paced around the energy of the city itself. We opened on night shots of London Bridge before Jamie's line ever lands, then scored the rest with an upbeat, high-energy funk track built to feel like driving through London on top of the world rather than touring a flat.

Project summary

Sky Residences above a five-star hotel, 43 storeys over the City

Getting the shots that concept demanded meant filming across the peak of summer in both day and night conditions, including a shoot that ran until 11pm, specifically to catch the skyline properly lit rather than settle for whatever light happened to be available earlier. Understanding the building's actual buyers shaped everything else. Frequent business travellers who want a managed home with real hotel perks, and buyers purchasing for children studying in the city, who prefer owning over renting for that kind of lifestyle. That understanding decided which spaces made the final cut, the private lobby, the lounge, the spa and pool, and three distinctly different apartment styles, each filmed to speak to a slightly different version of that same buyer. Produced for Jamie Gurvitz, Savills.
